Butterflies for tea

The Banality.
There is a Role Playing Game called Changeling: The Dreaming. The first time I played it I was  guided through a house, from the cellar up, and I had to describe each of  the rooms I visited. I especially remember my nan's cellar that had this smell of wonderful dampness that no one else but me appreciated. If I could, I would stop the game then and there as I got so much into the memory of a sunny day when I had to bring some coal and wood for my nan. That smell of the underground  was the smell of my childhood. It was somehow invigorating; I felt like a kid again. And I did not want to gro' up. Neva eva!

So, what does it have to do with tea, butterflies and this blog? One main thing. Defying Banality. The main thing I've loved about that particular RPG was that whatever happened- the banks go bust, someone looses their job- there is always hope. Hope and creativity. And these help change the world into a better place. Just like tea. A good cup of tea makes you close your eyes and think of pretty things. Like -butterflies!

Well. It may be a bit convoluted way of explaining myself, but there we go. This blog is (hopefully) going to be about my little card making project. Out of all the 'creative' ideas I hope this one is not just a whim. Trust me, I am rubbish at crafts. I made a few scarfs in my life an none of them was straight. I loved them and of course they were my pride. But the card making seemed more rewarding. It relaxes me when I can sit and put the ideas from my head on a piece of paper. When I look at 'hand making cards' on Google or all those scrapbooking ideas, it's again as if I was in the world of Changeling. Remodelling the world with some magic so that it becomes a more interesting place.

  1. The very first comment will be from an Eshu, just a random passer by.
All the best in remodelling the world. I'll be watching and try to keep any Pooka away from your blog.
And, by the way, you do look like one of us on that beautiful picture of yours. Or are you Sidhe?

  2. You found me! It's good to be recognized by our kindred. I think Pookah are needed to bring that unexpected chaotic factor to every creation. The world without them would be dull - just look what they did to my lounge! It's so untidy and yet colorful and I just enjoyed sitting amongst the scraps of paper, scattered scissors and random stamps.
I am very glad that you have visited this place and hopefully you will come by soon again!
